One of my favourite Amiga games. The graphics – at the time – were pretty stunning and the platforming elements were excellent.

Some info on one of the first games developed by Platinum Games, who are made up of ex-Clover employees and Resident Evil creator Shinki Mikami. The game in question is “MadWorld” for the Wii:

Mad World
Clearly the visuals are inspired by Sin City. The main character, Jack, has a chainsaw on his right arm and the plot is reportedly something similar to that of the movie Running Man.

Mad World
Love the contrast between the blood and everything else, reminds me of No More Heroes which is always a good thing. Now here is the official trailer:

Too Human
Bad news. Lead Designer of Too Human, Denis Dyack, confirmed in an interview on Co-Optimus that the game’s much-publicised online 4-player co-op ahs been stripped back to just 2-players:

“At one point we talked about Too Human being 4-player co-op. We have reduced it to 2-player co-op. The reason we did that is we looked at it, and the way the game is really frantic, and when you have a lot of guys zooming around. We weren’t sure that would play out the best. There were also all kinds of balancing issues. That’s where we are spending the majority of our time now. People say it looks finished, but we are balancing the RPG system. In order to do it right, and make sure co-op is the best it could be, right now we have it at 2 players.”

It is better than nothing I suppose. You can read the full interview HERE

It even has that gravel-voiced voiceover guy that does all the big movie trailers!

Banjo Kazooie 3
Never was a fan of the previous games (shame on anyone who thinks the first is better than Super Mario 64!) but theses shots look pretty impressive.

My eyes literally cannot handle a game with that much colour. They have become accustomed to the generic, grim grey colour pallets used in all the games of the past few years. Looks very promising.

Gunmetal PS3
Looks lovely doesn’t it? Gunmetal grey PS3 with Dual Shock 3 controller and a copy of MGS4, already announced for Japan and the US. Except that is not the one us neglected Europeans are getting. Oh no, we are (probably) getting stuck with a bog standard and under-featured 40GB PS3 with the rumble-less SIXAXXXSISXXXXIS controller (what away to get rid of whats left of them). Here are some selected gems from the announcement:

“Solid Snake, the hero of the Metal Gear Solid┬« (MGS) franchise, is, this summer, being bundled with PLAYSTATION┬«3 and a SIXAXIS controller offering millions of PS3 and MGS fans around the world the ultimate gaming combo.”

“Available from June 12 and priced at 439,99 Euros this offer is one of the most exciting bundles to date – bringing two great servants of the games industry together for the conclusion of what has been one hell of a ride!”

Sony Europe shows it’s love for us once again.

What’s this then? A playable dream sequence? Interesting.
